The surroundings
- Without leaving the town the Castle must be visited. There are guided visits on Saturdays in the afternoons and on Sundays in the morning.
- It is possible to go for a short excursion as far as the river, to go and see the fountain and enter the hermitage of Salgar, a wonderful place worth to visit. Going back we can nearly get lost along the valley, following any track that will take us back to Montsonís.
- The fans of archery can practice it because the Club of Archers of the Montsec has its fields there; you must contact the club before using them.
- For bicycle lovers, the Montsec offers plenty of itineraries which cross the incredible mountain range and allow admiring of its rocky formation. People think that the name of the mountain range of the Montsec is a derivative of Mons Sectus, that is to say, jagged mounts. The name honours the aspect and the structure of the region. The cliffs, the cuts and the holes in the gigantic rocks are the dominant elements of the landscape.
- Towns like Baldomar - do not miss the wine cellars -, Alós, at the feet of the river and with fresh and abundant water, Rubió where we can go horse riding, and Foradada with its magnificent swimming pools that are only 2km away from Montsonís, making the route a pleasure for all.
